With the UIL football state championships looming this week, that means it's awards season.
The 41st Annual UIL High School Awards Dinner is scheduled for 7 p.m., January, 20th at the Bayou City Event Center.
The gala will name the Greater Houston Offensive High School Player of the Year and the Defensive High School Player of the Year, as well as the Coach of the Year.
The annual Ron Stone Media Excellence Award will be given to Chronicle sports editor Reid Laymance.
