Tioga's McGehee, Williams earn top honors on LBCA's All-Region 4 team

The accolades continue to roll in for Tioga's duo of Blake McGehee and Issac Williams.
Weeks after leading the Indians to their first title in 32 years and earning All-Cenla co-MVPs, the pair headlined the Louisiana Baseball Coaches Association's All-Region 4 team as McGehee was named Pitcher of the Year and Williams took home Hitter of the Year honors.
McGehee went 10-2 with a 1.07 ERA and 76 strikeouts during 71.2 innings on the mound; Williams, a University of New Orleans commit, batted .440 with 8 home runs, 34 RBI and stolen bases.

Cenla's top 5 returning linebackers to watch

There is a reason why linebackers are considered the "quarterbacks of the defense."
Linebackers must have the awareness to diagnose plays before the snap and then must cover a lot of range after the snap to make open tackles or rush the quarterback.
Central Louisiana has had some tackling machines featured recently at linebacker, as Alexandria Senior High's Jeremiah Marks, Jena's Troy Dangerfield, Montgomery's Kason Lashley and Oakdale's Hunter Longino were among some of last year's standout seniors manning the heart of the defense.
With those guys gone, it is up to the next group to continue that same hard-hitting style.
