HS FOOTBALL: Cajigal thrives with MHS after emigrating from Cuba

Immigrating to the United States from Cuba had its rough moments for junior tight end Jonathan Cajigal, but he feels at home now with his second family – the Midland High football team.
Cajigal says playing for the Bulldogs is a brotherhood where he enjoys the camaraderie of his teammates and the tough love of his football coaches. Football has now become the passion for Cajigal, who was unfamiliar with the sport and didn't speak English when he moved to New Jersey with his family at age 9 from Camaguey, Cuba.

Snyder Senior League picks up first win at Southwest Regional

The Snyder Senior League All-Stars made a perfect run to capture the Texas West state championship in Abilene last week.
They kept it going in Seguin on Saturday in their first game of the Southwest Regional, defeating the hosts 11-10.
Snyder took control of the game early, scoring eight runs in the first inning. After Seguin got two runs back in the third, Snyder made it an 11-2 game midway through the fifth inning.
