A group of East Texas volleyball players traveled to the Magic Kingdom and came back with a national championship.
The ETA1 17 Black volleyball team captured the 17U Classic Division to win the AAU national title.
The East Texans had a spotless record of 13-0 in matches and an incredible 26-1 in sets in the four-day tournament. The first three days the matches were held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The matches moved to Disney's Wide World of Sports in Lake Buena Vista, Florida on the final day.
Briana Brown of Whitehouse was named tournament Most Valuable Player with Sara McKeethan of Bullard and Kenzie Smith of Edgewood earning all-tournament.
