THE POWER RANKINGS: #1 Vista Ridge edges #2 Vandegrift to hold Austin-area Girls top spot
The top 11 teams in this week’s Girls Power Rankings went a combined 19-1 this past week, the one loss hung on Vandegrift in a close game at top-ranked Vista Ridge. For now, that was enough for Round Rock to slip past the Lady Vipers to #2 despite an earlier loss to Vandy. Stay tuned for the rematches.
Otherwise, positions 4-10 remained unchanged since everyone else swept their weeks. Manor New Tech climbed a spot as the rest of the bottom third of the rankings all had bad weeks. That created an opening for 4A Wimberley to pop onto the charts replacing Crockett.
District play continues this week as we head towards Christmas!
