With Thursday games shifted to Saturday mornings, Friday was really the first day of the weekend of Texas high school football in the Houston area.
The skies cleared, for the most part, some parts of the city having to deal with lightning delays early on but everyone ended up getting their games in. The biggest of the night was No. 5 Manvel upending No. 1 Fort Bend Marshall 38-34. It was the Buffs first regular season loss since October 14, 2017.
So, what were the other finals from around the city? Check them out.
