Staying at home during COVID-19 quarantine can be boring, but some people have decided to make the most out of the situation and express their creativity.
All over the world, people are trying to find ways to beat boredom, one neighborhood in Monterrey, Mexico decided to showcase their children's stuffed animals in a stuffed animal safari.
Treating COVID-19 with great importance, they don't receive visitors, or go out to play like kids normally would, and so the parents of their community, took an initiative via group message, to have the kids enjoy a safari.
By placing the stuffed animals in cute booths, and on top of cars outside of their houses' garage, the kids were able to enjoy the view of these animals by looking out the window, or taking a walk. Always being respectful of their distance to others and other people's houses.
Other ways people are making the most out of their time are coming up with creative dinners.
Tina Fey has hopped onto the trend, and her daughters held an airplane-themed dinner.
Her daughters dressed up as a stewardess, did the whole airplane safety speech, and even projected an airplane window. They served their parents food, and even gave them a glass of wine, bringing the luxuries you usually get up in the air, on the ground at home.
Dad jokes are something associated with every dad, and sometimes the family wants to get back at them with a joke of their own too, and that's why other families came up with the dad theme.
This is another creative dinner trend that has been going around, where every family member dresses up, and acts like the dad of the family. If the dad has a beard they draw on a beard, if he acts a certain way, they all act like him.
Imagine the surprise the dad gets when he comes home for dinner, and finds multiple copies of himself sitting around the dinner table.
The creative dinners are great, but you bring in a movie too, and you get the perfect mix.
This is what the movie theater theme does, letting you enjoy a movie with your dinner and popcorn on the side.
This is where everyone creates their own tickets, you dim the lights, and you eat in your living room, recreating a movie theater scene.
Creative dinners can be very fun for the whole family.
Derek Cannuscio, a teen from Massachusetts, one of the original people who came up with the creative dinner ideas, has given his family multiple options to choose from, including themes like Hooters, Hibachi restaurant-style, and an in-flight dinner. These themed-dinners can all be found on Tik Tok.
Derek tries to do a different theme every day, and he has fun coming up with them, and his family has fun participating and awaiting the next theme.
Finding new ways to express your creativity, can be the best way to beat the boredom out of quarantine.
