Welcome to the D-UP! with Double D Show, hosted by Derek Dusek.
Dusek is the co-founder of VYPE in Southeast Texas and serves as VP of Sales for VYPE today. Dusek also oversees all operations for VYPE HOOPS; a division of VYPE that produces and executes organized, competitive youth basketball events.
He is a basketball junkie and former AAU coach who created his own show to chat with basketball athletes, coaches and colleagues that have been a part of his life over the last 20 years. Get ready to score a double-double with Double D.
In the first installment of D-UP!, Dusek chats with business partner Matt Malatesta about his journey in sports media.
Malatesta is the Chief Content Officer for VYPE Media and a veteran sports journalist in Houston.
The Houston native attended Klein Forest HS and graduated from LSU.
He is a former Rivals.com National Recruiting Analyst and is an expert when it comes to high school sports recruiting. His in-depth knowledge of high school sports ranging from football to water polo is unmatched in the media sphere. In 2004, he published "It's My Life" -- Inside the Locker Room of State Champion North Shore High School.
