Welcome to the 2019-2020 athletic calendar. It seems like this summer break went by a lot faster than usual as it is almost August 1, which marks the beginning of volleyball season.
The 2019 VYPE Volleyball Preview magazine is back and better than ever in its 12th year! This year VYPE went back to the drawing board and gave the volleyball preview a new look.
Inside this 64-page preview magazine, VYPE's Matt Malatesta and Joshua Koch break down the Contenders, Sleepers and Dark Horses across the city of Houston. A new addition this year are two in-depth features, one on the rise of boys' volleyball in Texas and the popular rising sport of beach volleyball.
As in every magazine there are the team rankings, who will be VYPE's No. 1 teams in 6A, 5A and Private School this year? Also the preseason All-VYPE teams and much more!
VYPE is really excited about this upcoming volleyball season and this magazine will be a must get to get you ready for the first serve on August 6.

VYPE gathered the best of the best at Big Rivers Waterpark & Adventures and Concordia Lutheran's Brooke Frazier, Kingwood Park's Alia Williams, Ridge Point's Claire Jeter, The Woodlands' Dylan Maberry, Cinco Ranch's Danyle Courtley and Friendswood's Ashlyn Svoboda represented that group on the 2019 VYPE Volleyball Preview Cover!
Where to find VYPE?
The 2019 VYPE Volleyball Preview Magazine will hit newsstands beginning the end of next week. You can find them at Academy Sports & Outdoors, Freddy's, select McDonald's and Timewise Gas Stations. The new edition will also be available at all sites of the 2019 Adidas John Turner Classic in Pearland and the Cy-Fair ISD/Katy ISD Varsity Tournament which both begin August 8.
