Porter made some noise in 2023 as the Spartans won 21 games and made the playoffs to represent District 16-5A.
Alicia Evans-Pickens enters her third year of leading the program, which returns seven starters from a year ago. Porter made the Area Round in 2023 but look to get farther and they have the pieces to do it.
Kadence Hays (District Offensive MVP), Avery Evans-Pickens (District Newcomer of the Year), Jordan Franklin (First Team All-District) and Trinity Reece (First Team All-District) are super-talents. Other players to watch include Kylie Rose, Layla Brown and Lana Hendrickson.
Pitching and defense will be key to success for Porter, according to Evans-Pickens as they look to go “All In” in ‘24.
