Tomball High has always been a baseball school.
Well, the football team had a historic season reaching the State Semis, so let’s see if the baseball boys can follow suit. It has been nine years since the Cougars won State and Tomball has that look again.
With one of the best in the business running the program in Doug Rush (512 wins), Tomball returns five starters from the District 15-6A Champion and Regional Semifinalist squad.
Pitching will be a question mark, but their defense will be on point. Wade Eslick holds it down behind the plate, Chase Mora and Alan Lopez are slick-fielding middle- infielders. Mora is headed to Texas State and Lopez is committed to Houston.
Micah Andrejczak is a reliable first-baseman and stick at the plate, while Cade Arrambide will run down balls in the outfield.
The Cougars are a lock for the playoffs and likely a district title. How deep of a run will they make in the playoffs will all depend on the pitching staff.
