A win during the district schedule carries plenty of weight on its own. Doing so against the potential favorite to hoist the title, however, is about as big a statement as Klein Cain (3-0) could make.

The Hurricanes hosted previously undefeated Tomball this past Friday, ultimately outpacing the Cougars, 55-38, in front of a packed home crowd. Tomball’s offense, rightfully touted for its rushing attack, produced as expected. But as the final score reflected, Cain had an answer at every stage of the game.
