The high school football season is ending in the 7-A conference with the two teams that were predicted to be in Little Rock closing out the season. Bryant and North Little Rock have each been winning games in impressive fashion. Bryant is looking to repeat as the state champions of the largest classification in Arkansas and North Little Rock is out to end Bryant's time in the sun and bring a state championship back to North Little Rock.
Coach Buck James and the Bryant Hornets have put together one of the most dominant seasons in recent memory. The only game that has been close for the Hornets was the regular season matchup against North Little Rock. The Hornets have made fine use of the mercy rule, as they have advanced in the playoffs. Bryant defeated Fayetteville in the second 42-14 and shutout Bentonville West on Friday 35-0.
The Charging Wildcats of North Little Rock have been on a roll the past few weeks. North Little Rock has defeated Springdale Har-Ber and Bentonville in route to War Memorial. The rematch against Bryant will give North Little Rock another opportunity to shut down the impressive Hornets. Coach Jamie Mitchell and North Little Rock will need to shut down the Bryant rushing attack led by Ahmad Adams. Fans should look for a fun match up between the two teams. Look for Bryant to win a close game and win the state championship in the 7-A once again.
