This season, the Fort Worth Boswell Pioneers volleyball team has been making a dominating push through their schedule. After a second-place finish in their district last season and an impressive playoff run that ended in a tough battle against Prosper, the Pioneers are leaving no room for opponents to stand in their way. VYPE DFW takes a look at the team so far this season:
So Far
Despite opening their season with a couple of losses, the team regrouped and powered through non-district play. Defeating the likes of Hawaii's Kapolei and Mid-Pacific Institute, Azle, Decatur, Denton Guyer, Flower Mound, and more, the team recorded a dozen impressive victories in non-district play. As they headed into district, the athletes knew they had to give it their all and put forth a strong effort to keep their district opponents at bay.
Led by talents such as Keoni Williams, Brooke Lacewell, Camille Middleton, Emerson Chadwell, Alena Lopez, Rylinn Roberts, Kennedy Caton, Aubrey Gore, Jaci Moore, and others, the Pioneers have recorded only one loss in district play so far-- a hard-fought 3-2 match against a tough Fort Worth Chisholm Trail squad who currently sits at the first place spot of their district standings.
Having posted victories against Crowley (3-1), North Crowley (3-0), Euless Trinity (3-1), Hurst L.D. Bell (3-0), the Pioneers have outscored their district opponents 29-9 in sets.
Looking Ahead
With just a few games left before entering the playoffs, Fort Worth Boswell has never been more focused or dedicated. The team gears up to play a second match against L.D. Bell at home on Friday before hosting Fort Worth Paschal on 10/17. From there, the Pioneers close out district play on the road first with an away game at Weatherford then an away game at Chisholm Trail.
