Ranked in the top 10 of the VYPE DFW 1A-4A Preseason Football Rankings, the Brock Eagles are looking to rise to the top in the 2023-24 season. The team has been poised and focused, ready to secure as many victories as possible this season. VYPE DFW dives into what fans can expect from this crew.
REWIND
Usually dominant, last season was no different for the Brock Eagles. Despite a tough run in non-district play with losses against the likes of Pleasant Grove, Wichita Falls Hirschi, eventual state champion Gunter, and more, the team was able to regroup and focus on their district schedule without any trouble. Using each moment as a lesson to build from, Brock went on to finish at the top of their district standings with a 6-0 undefeated district record after defeating Peaster (49-14), Paradise (18-13), Ponder (74-27), and more.
Securing a playoffs spot, Brock showed no mercy as it took out Iowa Park (48-0), Muleshoe (57-20), Bushland (51-27), Whitesboro (30-19), and Malakoff (21-10) before eventually falling in a hard-fought 17-14 battle against Franklin.
LOOKING AHEAD
Getting back on track this season, Brock is capable and willing to do whatever it takes to back to their usual dominance. On the hunt for a state title this season, fans can expect the Eagles to leave their mark against every opponent this fall. Opening their schedule against Pleasant Grove on Friday, August 25th, the Eagles are bound and determined to start their season off on the right foot this year.
Luke Cearley, Brody Woods, Tyler Butler, Cayden Hix, Tolar Cearley, Jesse Rusinek, Vance Gunthrie, Cotton Tanner, Cooper Massey, and others are just some of the Brock athletes fans are going to want to keep their eye on this season as they prepare to take down anyone who stands between them and the playoffs.
