There are a lot of smaller programs around the Dallas-Fort Worth area that burst onto the scene last year and played with an intensity that most only see on bigger platforms. A Look Back
Last season, the only game lost in preseason or district play was against an incredibly tough Argyle team. Despite the loss, the Bobcats were always able to continue looking forward to their next game and keeping themselves on track to take down some of the strongest teams in the area. Celina posted excellent victories over the likes of Melissa (who shut-out Argyle later that season), Aubrey, Sanger, Krum, and more in blow-out victories en route to playoffs.
In the playoffs, Celina took down Mineral Wells, Perryton, Snyder, and Aubrey before eventually falling in a battle with Gilmer.
Looking Ahead
Fans should be happy to know that Celina didn't have a large graduating class. The team is going to bring back many of the same playmakers as they were last season. With strong athletes ready to make a big mark on the 2022-23 football season, Celina is poised at another great start. Athletes like Riley Bender, Logan Allen, Kaden Lorick, Tyler Weeks, Troy Peterson, and more will make their return with only one goal in mind.
What To Expect
An even stronger team. Really. This team has been building over the last couple of seasons and is ready to win it all. Expect to see this team put in the work throughout summer workouts and push their way through preseason and district play in order to bound into playoffs without looking back. This squad has a huge chance of bringing home the hardware this season.
