The Woodlands Lady Highlanders hosted the Oak Ridge Lady War Eagles Friday, March 26 for a heated rivalry game. The Woodlands Softball was ranked #14 in the state, while Oak Ridge held the #2 spot. The Lady Highlanders were 0-2 in district play and the Lady War Eagles 2-0.
The game started off slow with no score until the fifth inning when the Lady War Eagles scored two, while The Woodlands came back with one. In the sixth inning, the scoring repeated itself with Oak Ridge adding two more runs and The Woodlands adding one. The game ended with the Lady War Eagles coming out on top by a run, 4-3.
