V.R. Eaton Lady Eagles start District play with a bang

With a strong history in being excellent, the V.R. Eaton Lady Eagles soccer team is looking to make a splash in the new season. With a strong offense accompanied by a great defense, the Lady Eagles are already soaring into district play. VYPEDFW takes a dive into what fans can expect from the rest of the district games:

Last season, the Lady Eagles finished in the second-place spot in their district. Eaton was able to outscore their opponents 53-30 throughout the entire season while posting a 9-8-8 overall record. With wins over the likes of San Antonio Cornerstone Christian, Keller Fossil Ridge, Keller, Southlake Carroll, and more, the team headed into playoffs strong and defeated North Crawley and Southlake Carroll before eventually falling to Flower Mound.

The Lady Eagles have come into this season with fire and a desire to do anything in their power to continue to build off of the success of last season. During pre-season play, the Lady Eagles defeated Arlington Martin, El Paso Eastwood, El Paso Americas, Leander, Buda Hays, and more. Led by Madison Blue, Alexis Miller, Mia Thaxton, and Demi Madison with an exceptional assist from Jaiden Westrom, the team defeated Keller Fossil Ridge to open district play with a 4-0 victory.

The team looks to post a strong district schedule against Byron Nelson, Timber Creek, Southlake Carroll and more. With an offense who is quick and able, fans can expect to see more multiple-goal games in which the Lady Eagles dominate the field. Fans can also expect the Lady Eagle defense to step up against any challenge before them in order to make a deeper playoff run.
