FBCA in play for TAPPS title run?
The FBCA Eagles were in the TAPPS Class 5A state tourney a few years back and reached the postseason last season.
Coach Kalvin Lewis has a solid squad coming back led by a pair of complementary guards. Running the point is Solomon Cole, who averaged nine points, four boards and three assists as a junior. He can get to the basket and can kick it out to all-state shooter Owen LaRocca. LaRocca averaged 20 points and five boards a game.
A pair of sophomores will be called on to step up in 2020- 21 – Samuel Cole and Jaden Araiza.
"We just have to stay focused on the development process," Lewis said. "Hard work, every day, consistently." District play should get the Eagles sharpened for the playoffs with TWCA and Second Baptist in the league.
