Coach Debbie Harris is ready to run.
The McKinney Lions fell a game out of the postseason last year with some younger players.
Now those young Lionesses are more experienced and ready to get in the district conversation.
"What we like to do and what we are able to do are two different things," the 16-year head coach said. "This year we want to play a fast-paced game and pressure baseline to baseline. We have the bench and the players to do it, where we haven't sometimes in the past."
Harris will rely on Erin Fry, Taylor Jackson and Trinity White, who are just a trio of stars that will propel the Lions.
"Our expectations are to have a chance to win a district championship, but we just need to focus on the process," she said.
