Nine Houston stars selected in weekend's NFL Draft

And with the first pick of the NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans take Cameron Ward of Columbia High School…

The NFL Draft has turned into an event and the Greater Houston-area was well represented with nine athletes hearing their names called.

Three offensive lineman, two quarterbacks, a receiver, corner back, defensive line and a running back were selected. Klein Cain had two selections in Matthew Golden and Jaydon Blue, while Katy ISD’s Jalen Milroe (Tompkins) and Hayden Conner (Taylor) were picked.

The New Orleans Saints went big from Houston selecting OL Kelvin Banks (Summer Creek) and DL Vernon Broughton (Cypress Ridge).
