Starting the season with an incredible run, the North Crowley Panthers are looking toward a strong district run. VYPE DFW takes a look into the team as they prepare to continue the rest of their district schedule en route to the playoffs:
REWIND
Last season, the Panthers went 31-7 overall with an undefeated 14-0 record in district play to finish at the top of their standings. Posting big victories over tough opponents like Summer Creek, Manvel, Richardson, Keller, Birdville, Euless Trinity, and others, the team had no trouble making it through to the playoffs. With a convincing playoff run, the Panthers defeated Keller Central, Odessa, and Keller in overtime before eventually falling to a tough Lake Highlands squad that went on to win the state title. Outscoring their opponents by nearly 500 points on the season, Panthers fans were continually pleased anytime North Crowley took the court.
This Season So Far
Opening the season on an eight-game win streak, the Panthers showcased talent as soon as they stepped onto the hardwoods this season. With only three losses to their name so far this year, the team posted a 16-3 record in non-district play as they sharpened their skills and got back into the swing of things before district play. With huge victories over the likes of Fort Worth Dunbar (95-62), Lake Highlands (91-46), Allen (68-59), Midland Legacy (82-49), and more, North Crowley spent their non-district play time dominating the court.
The Panthers have kicked off district play with great effort as they've defeated Fort Worth Paschal (67-32) and Euless Trinity (91-42) in decisive and convincing victories. Led by seniors Koreyan Davis, Kamoni Sieber, Terry Allen, Eric Moore, Justin McCray, Landon Brown, Deven Smith, Bennie Jones, and others, the team can be expected to continue their run of dominance as they get back into the swing of their district schedule on January 5th against Forth Worth Boswell on the road. Be sure to check them out as they look to create a convincing campaign toward the playoffs this season!
