l as AAU on various sneaker circuits and specializing in player development. As the associate head coach at Houston Christian, he helped the team win multiple SPC state championships. Wheeler has contributed to the success of sixty NCAA Division I commits, including three McDonald's All-Americans, and has coached four USA basketball selections, including Quentin Grimes, the 2018 Texas Mr. Basketball, and Houston's own LJ Cryer.

Coach Wheeler takes over a Second Baptist School men's basketball program that is coming off a 28-win season and a trip to the TAPPS 5A Final Four. With a young and dynamic roster returning, the Eagles are poised to compete for their fourth basketball state championship in school history.
In addition to his coaching duties, Coach Wheeler will serve on the SBS campus as a college counselor, in which a portion of his time will be dedicated to assisting student-athletes across all sports in the college recruitment process. Wheeler has been married to his wife, Jacqueline, for over twenty years. Together, they have six children: three sons and three daughters.
