THE CENTURION: FBCA’s Dever sets new Texas HS milestone
As the TAPPS Baseball is set to begin within the next few weeks, FBCA is setting their sights on a strong finish in the remainder of district competition.
With some of their top players performing better than ever, the Eagles have been a formidable opponent throughout the Spring, and they’ll be anticipating a deep playoff run.
That’s not the only piece of good news for Fort Bend Christian Academy.
After having a phenomenal tenure as the FBCA signal-caller, which was capped off with a TAPPS State Championship this past Fall, senior Brady Dever has set a new “first” for the school and the state of Texas.
As the top batter on the Eagles lineup, Dever (Sr. CF) has established a Texas high school milestone by becoming the first athlete to surpass 100 career hits and 100 passing touchdowns in their career.
Given Dever’s experience and FBCA youthful roster, the Brown-signee has become an irrefutable leader in the dugout. Furthermore, he will serve as the driving force behind the ball club's venture into the postseason.
After reaching the Area Round in 2022, the Eagles will expect to push even further with all the starpower at their disposal. Stay tuned.
