Vega, Mota have No. 21 Klein Oak in Regional conversation

21 -- KLEIN OAK PANTHERS

The Panthers of Klein Oak are fresh off a Regional Quarterfinals appearance and return three starters off the team that went 29-8 overall and 11-3 in district play.

Michael Prejean enters year five leading this program (75-51) and is 20 wins from his 200th career coaching victory.

First-team, all-district selections in junior Kiana Vega and sophomore Maci Mote return to the huddle for Klein Oak. Other players to watch include Sophia Mireles, Kaelyn Emery, Ava Murphy and Clarah Obenofunde.

Keys to their success will be a combo of outstanding guard play, solid inside play and getting some key bench play from newcomers up from the JV squad.

As Klein Oak enters this season, they will focus on what is N.E.X.T – New Era of Expectations and Toughness.
