Awards Season presented T-Mobile: Fort Bend Marshall's Devon Achane wins TD Club Player of the Year
HOUSTON - Devon Achane is going to need to make more room at home for some trophies.
The senior running back for Fort Bend Marshall picked up a few more awards this week, including being named the Touchdown Club of Houston Offensive Player of the Year on Wednesday night.
"I just want to thank my mom she pushed me every step of the way being by my side," Achane said in his acceptance speech. "I want to thank all my coaches and my teammates, they pushed me every step of the way. Without them I wouldn't be able to receive this award. I want to thank the Touchdown Club for having me."
Achane has been unbelievable this season.
The Texas A&M-commit has rushed for 1,940 yards and 35 touchdowns this season. Achane has also recorded 614 yards and nine touchdowns on 28 catches.
Fort Bend Marshall has advanced to the State Semifinals for the second-straight year and Achane will have the chance this weekend to put on a show in his future home at Texas A&M's Kyle Field on Saturday.
