The postseason honors continue for Plainview coach Elliott West and his Lady Hornet softball players.
After guiding Plainview to its third straight Class C title in April, West earned Coach of the Year honors from the Louisiana Softball Coaches Association.
West led the Lady Hornets to a 21-8 record as they earned three straight state softball titles for the first time since 1957-1960 — before softball was an official LHSAA sport.
The Lady Hornets were well-represented on the Class C team with four players earning nods: three-time Class C title game MVP Madison Pippen, Louisiana College softball signee Kloe Fee, LC women's basketball signee Alex Harrison and Abigail Pippen.
