Legacy Prep, Village School, Legacy SSS lead Others to Watch
Legacy Prep Lions
After making it to the TAPPS 4A State Championship game in back-to-back years, the Warriors reached the Regionals Round and finished 22-12 overall.
Now, the Lions want to get back and win it all. TAPPS first-team, all-state pick Molly Steed is back for her senior year. Steed averaged 13 points per game. Also returning is second-team, all-state pick Ava Faith Brieger and sisters Charlotte Freeman and Ginger Freeman.
“We will need to execute our offense to the very best of our ability and be aggressive on both ends. We need to rebound much better than last year,” Legacy Prep coach Audra May said.

The Village School Vikings
Jason Cantwell’s Village School Vikings squad is coming off a TAPPS 6A Regional Final appearance in 2023 after going 23-12 on the year.
Three starters return off that team, which bodes well for The Village School for a potential return trip. First-team, all-stater Mila Rossini returns after averaging 15.5 points, 5.1 rebounds per game. Second-team, all-stater Emily Zaccardo is back after nailing 40 three-pointers.
Others to watch include Cyra Narahari (second-team, all-district) and Shaniya Williams. According to Cantwell (152-56, 10th year as head coach, third at Village School), with a new point guard in place they should be able to play faster. “We don’t have much size, but we should be able to out-pace teams,” Cantwell said. “Defensively, we should be very strong and have three excellent ball handlers.”

Legacy the School of Sports Sciences Titans
The Titans are coming off a championship season, going 21-10 overall and winning the Texas Charter School State Championship.
Ses Johnson enters year four of leading this program and has a 50-23 record at the helm. Three starters return off last year’s squad, including all-state picks Alayna Yates and Anaiah Jackson. All-District selection Brittney Anderson is also back for the Titans.
Margan Allen has transferred over from Oak Ridge and will be a big addition.
