Logan LeRoux is heading to San Marcos! The Memorial volleyball senior, who helped lead the Mustangs to the District Championship this season, has verbally committed to Texas State. LeRoux led the team in assists with 515 for the 2020 season. She also registered 187 digs and 72 kills for her senior season as well.

Northbrook has had a bit of a rough go to start the season but it was all smiles behind the masks on December 5. That day, the Raiders defeated Needville 44-40 for their first victory of the season. A nice win for the Northbrook boys hoopsters.

The Touchdown Club of Houston gives out annual awards to the best offensive and defensive players in the city. One of the finalists for the TD Club of Houston Defensive Player of the Year Award is Stratford's Reco Griffin. This season, guiding Stratford to a 6-4 overall record, Griffin finished with 55 tackles and a fumble recovery for a touchdown. A nice season for the senior.

For the second-straight year Spring Woods High School held a unified football game. This is an awesome day where life skills students get to experience the Friday Night Lights with playing a football game! Whether that be playing on the field, refereeing the game, being a cheerleader or in the band! This is an awesome event put on by Spring Woods High School.

Entering this week, Memorial girls basketball is on a hot streak, winners of seven-straight games. A win over Spring Woods last week opened district play for the Mustangs. Entering this week, Memorial stands at 9-3 on the year. They are definitely a team to watch in this 2020-2021 season.
