VYPE caught up with Peyton Havard, rated as the #25 Texas Prospect by Prep Baseball Report, ULL baseball signee and member of the Bridge City baseball team, for a quick Q&A.
VYPE: What are your personal goals for this season?
Peyton: Every year we as a team come in with the mindset to improve our level of play from the pervious year.
VYPE: Describe the most disappointing event of your athletic career?
Peyton: The most disappointing event has got to be the way we finished the season last year as a team. We all knew we were better than our play showed and we had a lot more gas left in the tank.
VYPE: What was the most fulfilling moment of your athletic career?
Peyton: The most fulfilling moment has to be seeing a teammate making plays and playing to the best of their ability. There is nothing more fulfilling then seeing that.
VYPE: What makes baseball such a great game in your opinion?
Peyton: Everything about the game. The crowds, the competitiveness, the passion, and all the hard work put in. Every single aspect about the game is what makes it great.
VYPE: What do you want to accomplish on/off the field?
Peyton: On the field of course we want to have the same goal as every year and win a district championship. Off the field we just want to represent Bridge City the way it should be.
