Powerful performances have led Aledo to scoring 245 combined runs more than their opponents this season. As the team heads into the regional semifinal round of playoffs, VYPE DFW takes a look at their season so far:
Starting their season with four powerful victories against non-district opponents like Waxahachie (9-2), Keller (7-2), and Prosper (8-1) set the tone for the Lady Bearcats this season. As they continued through their non-district play, the team was led by the likes of Ana Flores, Brenlee Gonzales, Kennis Marx, Austyn Marriage, Jordyn Edington, Marina Taveres, Addie Perry, Breleigh Mayer, Taylor McKean, Delaney Rosser, Kyleigh Pawlak, and more to several more dominant victories.
As the team opened district play, fans knew there was something special brewing for this Aledo squad. Finishing at the top of their district standings with a 12-0 district record, the Lady Bearcats showcased determination and a can-do attitude as they took down the likes of Justin Northwest, Saginaw, Granbury, Fort Worth Brewer, Azle, and more en route to the playoffs.
Backed by their ability to score early and often, this Aledo squad has everything it takes to continue to dominate through the playoffs. So far, the team has already sent Frisco Everman (15-0, 14-0), Birdwill (3-2 in 11 innings), and Joshua (2-1) to their offseason schedules. Facing down their next opponent, Monterey, is sure to be a task the Lady Bearcats are up for as they enter the regional semifinals. Pushing to finish their season on a high, fans can expect Aledo to power through their series against Monterey just as they have all season.
