Fulshear football coach Nick Codutti has built a reputation for success in high school football. Known for his innovative strategies and ability to connect with players, Codutti has turned the Chargers' program into a competitive force.
Codutti has been hired as the next head football coach and athletic coordinator at historic Klein High School.
"Becoming a part of the rich traditions and close-knit community at Klein High is truly an honor," he said. "I look forward to contributing to the legacy of excellence and fostering a family environment where every student feels valued and supported."
He takes over for coach Shane Hallmark, who has retired. Klein is coming off a 6-4 record, finishing fifth in district play.
“We are excited to have Coach Codutti join the Klein athletics family,” KISD athletic director Brandon Baker said. “His leadership and success in both football and athletic administration make him the perfect fit for our program. We look forward to seeing him guide our athletes to continued success and build upon the strong foundation of Klein High School athletics.”
Codutti’s philosophy emphasizes discipline, teamwork, and adaptability. Under his leadership, Fulshear has seen consistent improvement, with the team achieving milestones that once seemed out of reach. Codutti’s ability to analyze opponents and adjust game plans has earned him respect from both his players and coaching peers. He was a finalist this year for the TD Club of Houston Coach of the Year.
The Chargers won District 20-6A going undefeated, with an overall record of 12-1. They advanced to the third round of the playoffs before falling to Atascocita 47-42. He has a record of 41-9 as a head coach.
With a focus on building a winning culture, Codutti prioritizes fostering a sense of community around the football program. His efforts to engage parents, alumni, and fans have helped create a strong support system for his teams.
