Welcome to the 2020 volleyball season. What a weird offseason it was for everyone. No club tournaments to travel to, limited training available but what that means is everyone should be fresh for the 2020 campaign.
VYPE previewed 30 public school teams in this year's VYPE Houston Volleyball Preview. Here is one of the Contenders - the Fulshear Chargers.

Fulshear Chargers
They're back ... The Fulshear Chargers shocked the volleyball landscape, winning the Class 4A state title in just the third year of the school's existence. The Chargers dominated with some elite talent and leadership under the direction of coach Sydney Gotcher. However, realignment has moved Fulshear up a class, so will the lofty expectations remain? They should as District MVP Ellie Echter (LSU-commit) and Offensive MVP Alexis Dacosta (Baylor-commit) are back in the huddle. Also returning is libero Ava Underwood, a Texas A&M-commit. All three were all-state selections. Don't sleep on junior Skylar Voskuhl, who's role will expand in the middle. Kalee Tollefson and Allyson Struble will add power on the outside, while Becca Ferrari will shore up the defense. Fulshear will battle Foster and Lamar Consolidated for the district title, but the Chargers will also be a Class 5A Region III title contender.
