After an incredible 2022-23 season that ended with the Lady Mustangs at the top of their district with an undefeated district record (16-0), Sachse is amped up and ready to give it their all throughout the rest of their district schedule. VYPE DFW dives into their season so far
Non-District Play
Through non-district play, the Lady Mustangs posted a 14-11 record. Defeating the likes of Frisco Heritage, Dallas Wilson, Forney, Denton Braswell, and more, the team was able to secure big moments that continued to encourage them and power them through valuable learning moments on the court. Led by tough athletes like Sakiah Logan, Kate Romo, Kaelynn Simms, Cate Tempelmeyer, Abigail Jesmer, Taber Torres, Favor Anyanqu, Scarlette Young, and more, the team has proven their ability to regroup in tough situations and bounce back to be better than before.
District
With a taste of district play already, the team has posted a 2-1 record so far. Defeating Garland Naaman Forest (3-0) and North Garland (3-0), the Lady Mustangs are fired up for anything. The team has a drive and a playing style that shows nearly unmatched focus on the court. As fans continue to watch the Lady Mustangs power through their season, they can expect Sachse to post more strong victories over many of their opponents. The team is set to faceoff against Lakeview Centennial next in front of a home crowd on Friday, September 8th.
