The Forney Jackrabbits volleyball team has been rolling through their non-district schedule; proving to fans and opponents alike that they are ready to do whatever it takes to get right back to where they were last season-- if not further. Forney has been having incredible victories as they look to begin their district schedule next week!
Non-District So Far
The team has posted a 19-5 record in non-district play so far. Opening their season with six consecutive victories, fans got a glimpse of the team being right back at it from the start this season. Dropping only five matches so far, it's clear that the Jackrabbits are geared up for success already. Focusing on each set at a time, Forney is poised and ready at any given moment. Posting big victories over the likes of Princeton (3-1), Garland Naaman Forest (2-0), Lewisville (2-0), North Mesquite (2-0), Aubrey (2-0), and most recently, North Forney (3-0), the team has beaten their opponents by a combined 29 sets this season.
What To Expect
Led by Hannah Starwalt, Kylie Rodriguez, Arianna Reyna, Mia Santos, Katie Boyle, Mabry Spain, Addison Smith, Izzi Shemberger, Ryann Jones, Sam Wojtowicz, McKenzie Eddington, and more on the court this season, the Jackrabbits can be expected to have a strong season like last year. Staring down the last of their non-district opponents, it can be expected that Forney finishes their non-district schedule strong in a revenge match against DeSoto and a matchup against Tyler Legacy.
Opening district play in front of a home crowd on September 8th, Forney can be expected to bring the action against Red Oak. Looking to start district play on a high-note and ready to defend their house and their district title, fans can expect the Jackrabbits to play with a high IQ of the game and a fast-paced style of scoring. Looking to shutdown any opponent that stands in their way of the playoffs, Forney is ready to secure another strong season this year!
